Economic Ministry says Russia GDP rise slows down to 0.9% in March
MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- The growth of Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) slowed down to 0.9% in March from 2.8% in February, according to a report seen by PRIME on April 30.
"GDP growth in March 2020 is estimated at 0.9% year-on-year (in February it stood at 2.8% on the year and at 1.7–1.9% year-on-year adjusted for the calendar factor)," the ministry said.
"The deterioration of the foreign economic situation on the back of lower prices for raw materials and introduction of the quarantine restrictions in the trade partner countries was the key factor holding down the Russian economy’s growth," the ministry said.
